GIVING TUESDAY: OFH GIVES TO THE HENRY STREET SETTLEMENT

The holidays are a time of giving and community. That is why, this year for Giving Tuesday, OFH is donating $1,300 to the Henry Street Settlement. The amount was collected from our Warehouse Charity Sale that we held this October at our warehouse in Paterson, New Jersey. We would like to thank our customers and our friends, who helped to contribute the funds to make this donation possible.

The Henry Street Settlement is a not-for-profit social service agency in the Lower East Side that provides social services, art programs, and health care services to over 50,000 New Yorkers every year. Since its founding in 1893, the Henry Street Settlement has provided meaningful assistance to millions of New Yorkers. Presently, they offer over 50 programs for people of all ages through their Abrons Arts Center/Visual and Performing Arts, Employment, Education, Sports & Recreation, Senior Services, Health & Wellness, and Transitional & Supportive Housing divisions.

The Henry Street Settlement has provided an invaluable service to New York City and the Lower East Side community by providing help and assistance to those in need.  At OFH we are happy to be able to give back to this praiseworthy agency that embraces the history and diversity of the Lower East Side and helps make New York City a better place.
